Certificates: ESL 8-20-09

Though we had to cut the ESL two weeks short, we did manage to give out certificates tonight. The Heaner family and I went from apartment to apartment and gave out both Beginning and Intermediate Certificates to qualifying students. We had a great time visiting each of the families that were available, and we hope to continue to build relationships with these people.

Regarding future ESL classes, may God grant us wisdom in overcoming facility obstacles in the future. Ultimately, it is His work, and He will make a way as He decrees. May the Lord bless what He has done through all of us in the past seven-eight months at North Chase! The Lord is risen! To Him be the glory alone! Amen!

Northchase ESL 10-13 Building Closure

We were informed today that the building we use for ESL has been shut down until further notice due to repairs by the new management. This was unexpected, so we were not able to teach ESL tonight and will be ending two weeks early. I stayed there for about 3o minutes tonight to tell the students that we had to cut the ESL short. They were disappointed, but I told them that we will go around to their respective homes next Tuesday to hand out certificates.

In light of all this, we will be praying for future ministry direction. Please continue to pray for us as we seek the Lord's guidance in this matter.

To Him be the glory alone! Amen!

Northchase ESL 10-06

Tonight was awesome, especially in the intermediate class! We continue to have insightful questions followed by excellent discussions. Not only is their English improving, but their understanding of the gospel is increasing as well. In our trek through redemptive history, we have arrived at the Birth of Christ, His miracles, and His teachings. Next week is the Death, Burial, Resurrection, and Ascension of Christ. May God open the eyes of their hearts, and may we continue to build relationships with them in class and out of class whether that be in homes or just out in the town.

Last week, everything went well. May God continue to bless His work there.
