Northchase ESL & English Bible Study 5-12-09

Tonight was awesome!  We had a great turnout for the ESL (about 30 adults and 5-8 children), and the people are really starting to remember their English.  Living in America helps that because they are immersed in an English speaking culture.  We continue to have a large consistent group, and we get to know them a bit more each week.  We keep it jovial and try not to take ourselves to seriously.  We encourage participation, and the market is always fun and educational at the same time.

Regarding the Bible Study, we had a phenomenal turn out (about 25 adults and 3-4 children), and we are so excited about how they appear to be understanding what we are communicating.  We do this through both words and pictures, and the Lord continues to honor our faithfulness in this.  We gave out numerous Nepali New Testaments, and several more Spanish/English New Testaments, Psalm, & Proverbs.

O Lord, we do ask that you continue to open the hearts of these men, women, and children that they might glorify you. May they repent of their sin, and leave the idols of this world.  There is no joy in idolatry; you hate it and condemn it.  However, through Christ you can make a man's heart clean.  Ultimately, You and You alone O Lord can do this marvelous work, and we are thankful to be part of Your great Kingdom.  To Him be the glory forever! Amen!
